WELCOME TO JASPER’S WORKSHOP!

Jasper’s workshop is Jasper’s own MakerSpace in his garage. Influenced by American Maker culture during his study abroad, in 2021, Jasper decided to renovate his home's dilapidated and outdated garage and turn it into a small workshop.

The shop is currently running by Jasper and his dad - Lixin. Lixin started his career as a train worker in 1940’. As a traditional worker in China's northeastern industrial base at that time, Lixin was proficient in hand-made, and Jasper grew up observing his Lixin's crafts, inherited his father's talent for manufacturing, and continued to learn in the field of design. During his graduate studies in the U.S., Jasper was infected by the rich atmosphere of Makers and Creators, and deeply felt the lack of Chinese Maker culture, so he decided to start a “Makerspace” to bring the culture to the community.

The shop is now equipped with a Lathe and a set of hand tools, and more equipment will be introduced later.

Why do we need to wax our snowboard?

Wax keeps your board from drying up, essentially hydrating it the same way we need to hydrate after a few long runs. A snowboard base is made up of pores, and when the base gets dry, it makes your board less agile and lowers the performance and overall life of the snowboard.

Why snowboarding in Northeast China requires frequent waxing?

In the cold climate in northeast China, the snow is usually hard, the consumption of the bottom of the snowboard faster, long-term snowboard wax deficit state will accelerate the wear and tear of the bottom of the board.
